Ibb Hotel Ingelheim

An ok hotel. Unfortunately, for the second time (happened in my stay last year too) I had problems with checking in and the reception couldn't locate my booking on the system.I think the system needs an upgrade to improve the name search capabilities. The other unfortunate thing was that the aircon didn't work. For some reason the fan will come on for a minute and then stop. At least I could open the window. The breakfast was good. And the suggestion by reception staff to check out and settle the bill the evening before my last morning was a very good idea. Overall, the hotel is in a very good location, near shops, restaurants and the train station. The rooms are ok nothing great or too bad. The staff are helpful and polite. I just wish future check in experiences will be smoother.

I visited 1 year ago did not feel I am in a 4 star hotel! Felt like a dorm with strict regulations and cold behaviour, but had to stay there again some weeks ago, and with Dorotee joining management about 2 months ago, one can see that even so all I said last year, still applied at reception level, but seems will be going to the right direction under coaching by Dorotee. Even so hotel had made problems with my reservation, Dorotee managed it and corrected the issue as good as possible. That said, nevertheless, I was charged more than 2 times of price that was communicated to me and even for one room level lower! I find it not correct, but I chose not to break my head over it.⁸
